Pros and cons of Prepware ATP app for iPhone and iPad

Prepware ATP app good for

Very useful application! But I doubt that there is all questions concerning ATPL test.
Thanks guys, just like the pc prepware, but it would be nice to study by section too.
Im glad to see the effort towards all the writtens and this is a fairly good implementation. I too would definitely like to see the ability to study by sections. Actually I think thats a must for any iPhone/mobile version. Too many of the questions on the ATP involve the use of detailed graphs or calculations - hard to do if the iPhone is also your calculator and you have to quit the app. But sections of the test could be studied easily whenever you have free time if only I could narrow it down to just specific sections - i.e., skip questions on detailed flight planning or W&B calculations. Overall, a good start and a useful app, but could be awesome with some more features.
The new updated version is superb. You can choose question by subjects. Thank you for that !!!!
Its a must have app for the iPad user. Its as good as any desk top test prep. ASA, with this update went from good to the best iPad test prep out there. Great job! I also love the checkride prep apps too.
ok, since there is no book for the ATP in the app store, or the itunes, to read it directly from the phone, choosing which category to study from is nice and very helpful, but it would have been much wiser and sweeter if it was all divided by the chapters. there are 17 chapters in the ATP, I dont think i have to mention them, im suppose to get my license a year ago, but had some troubles with the calculation sections. It would be great if there was a reading section beside the question and answer method. or just having the book available in the app store.

Some bad moments

Hello, I’m very disappointed as this app is not working properly on iPhone. As the screen is smaller we don’t get all the text of the questions and therefore it’s not possible to answer. 8,99€ wasted
Watch out, a lot of mistakes and double questions with different answers.
Just got this to study for the Canadian conversion test but that’s the only set of questions you can’t choose from the menu. Everything else is available (Aircraft Dispatcher, ATP multi, ATP single, ATP airplane 135, ATP heli 135 und ATP heli added. Wasted my money and have to buy the books now unless they update the app.
In spite of the positive reviews, I am really frustrated and disappointed that I cant mask the wrong answers. That is where your competition has a really rate of success. With their system, not only the person past the test but learn from the test. Even before the electronic written test preps all we had was the test bank booklet, the prefer method was to mask the wrong answer. The right answer was thw only familiar choice and the learning was inevitable. For instance, please add that option to the ATP prep ware which has so many interpretative answers.
I can only get through 10-20 questions before the software crashes. Happens on both my iPad and iPod touch. Even tried fresh restores on both of them trying to solve issue, and it still happens. I feel like Ive thrown my money away on something that doesnt work.
There is no way to "study" with only the correct answers from the test bank showing. The only difference between test and study modes, is there is no explanation available for the test mode questions. Not actually available for iPad...dont waste your money....too small on iPad screen, and overall, it is not what you are expecting when there are so many other test prep softwares out there. (10 bucks I will never get back). Stay away until ASA catches up.
